I am Nikita Tater, a self-taught abstract artist based in Mumbai, India. My vibrant, colorful mosaic acrylic paintings are my passion. My fascination with lines and checks as patterns inspires my abstract arrangements. From a distance, my acrylic paintings resemble a collection of miniature ceramic tiles coming together to form an appealing visual narrative. But upon closer inspection, you’ll find a painstakingly-painted mosaic on canvas, each brushstroke telling a unique story.
The inspiration for my art usually comes from within, like a diary expressing my moods. Each painting begins with a color obsession, a dream, or a constant thought and evolves from there. My creative journey led me to found ‘Being CreARTive,’ an art house where every canvas awakens my innate emotions and creative imagination.
I am constantly stimulated by my surroundings and am a true seeker of inspiration. This gifted mind also serves me well as an interior designer, where I seek out forms and colors that keep spaces overflowing with positive energy. Despite my brief artistic career, my distinctly playful style has become internationally renowned, with many of my works finding homes in private collections around the world. I have had the honor of exhibiting at the prestigious Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai, the Van Gogh Art Gallery in Spain, and major art expos in New York and Dubai.
